1. Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Prefecture

As the name suggests, this flower park is right near the ocean. Specifically, it’s on the east coast of Japan, along the Pacific Ocean. It lies just two hours north of Tokyo by train ride in Ibaraki Prefecture.

The park is filled with Japanese flowers and flowers from abroad. Whether it’s Dutch tulips or cherry blossoms, you’ll find them in this seaside park.

2. Tonami Tulip Park in Toyama Prefecture

Tonami Tulip Park is in the town of…You guessed it, Tonami. Tonami is just a short train or car ride away from Kanazawa in Ishikawa Prefecture, or Toyama City.

It has walls of tulips, a tulip museum detailing the tulip craze in past centuries, Japan’s biggest water wheels, and more. It’s a beautiful park that’s well worth the visit. It also has some classic festival foods – shaved ice, melon pan, and more. You can even eat tulip ice cream!

3. Ashikaga Flower Park in Tochigi Prefecture

Ashikaga Flower Park requires you to zip to the north west of Tokyo.

It’s a beautiful flower park that is famous for its wisteria, that flows along the walk path and provides shade from the sun.

Just like in Tonami, you can even eat wisteria ice cream!
